Sorting Cards With a Clear Goal
Classic Solitaire Challenge is a traditional solitaire card game built around one objective: move every card onto four foundation piles, each built in suit from ace to king. The tableau is where most of the work happens. You rearrange cards into descending sequences, then transfer completed runs to the matching foundation. The game rewards planning over speed, and every move either opens a new option or closes one off.
How a Turn Actually Plays Out
On the tableau, you connect cards in descending order to form stacks. Once a sequence is complete from king to ace, it can be moved to a foundation. Foundations build upward in suit from ace to king, so an ace must be available before a two of the same suit can follow. When no useful tableau moves remain, you draw from the stock pile for additional cards. The win condition is simple and absolute: all cards on the foundations.
Controls and Device Support
The game runs directly in a web browser with no downloads, and it works on both mobile devices and desktop computers. Touch and click controls are supported, so you can tap or click a card to move it. Full screen mode is available if you want a larger view of the tableau. Because there is no installation step, you can start a game on a phone and pick it up again on a desktop without changing how you play.
Reading the Tableau Before You Move
Cards moved to a foundation cannot be moved back, so foundation placement is a commitment. Building tableau sequences frees up buried cards, which is often more valuable early on than rushing aces upward. The stock pile is a limited resource in the sense that drawing too many cards at once can leave you with fewer options later. Experienced players tend to scan the whole tableau before each move, looking for sequences that unlock the most cards.
