About this game
Race to Empty Your Stack
Cat and Mouse Extreme is a digital adaptation of the classic card game Spite and Malice, also known as Skip-bo. The objective is straightforward: be the first player to clear your personal stack of cards. You do this by playing cards onto three central piles, each of which must begin with an Ace and be built up sequentially to a Queen. Suits are irrelevant, so the focus stays on numerical order and timing.
Your Turn, Your Choices
On each turn, you can play from three sources: your personal stack on the left, your hand of five cards, or your four discard piles on the right. Only the top card of your stack, any card in your hand, and the top cards of your discard piles are available. Kings act as wild cards, representing any value you need. Your turn ends when you place a card from your hand onto a discard pile, so every decision about what to play and when carries weight.
The Extreme Twist
What sets this version apart is the ability to play cards from your opponent's discard piles. This rule adds a layer of strategic planning beyond the standard game. You can disrupt your opponent's progress or seize an opportunity to advance your own piles. It forces you to watch both sides of the table and adapt your approach on the fly.
Accessible and Flexible
Cat and Mouse Extreme runs directly in your browser, with no downloads required. It works on both mobile and desktop devices and offers a full-screen mode for focused play. Sessions can be quick or extended, depending on your pace. The game is free to play and provides a familiar yet challenging experience for fans of classic card games.
